Dr. Carol Goossens' is a speech-language pathologist (retired) and special educator continuing to generate educational resources for both Regular and Special Education. In the past 30 years she has worked collaboratively with hundreds of classrooms serving a broad spectrum of special needs (developmentally delayed, autism spectrum disorders, physically disabled, multiply handicapped, English as a second language and VI). Dr. Goossens’ has presented extensively both nationally and internationally (Canada, England, Scotland, Wales, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, China). She has co-authored eleven clinical books regarding her work in the area of Augmentative and Alternative Communication and is known for her ability to provide successful, classroom-based strategies.
